Abstract .- The red tilapia production requires a longer time to reach its ideal weight and size due to oxygen deficiency in the water ponds; the aeration method is a flute system, which consists in prolonging it across the whole pool in order to achieve a homogeneous water entry. After evaluating the temperature and the O2 in the 2 pools, it was possible to conclude that the forced aeration pool had better outcomes than the regular aeration pool. The ranch management does not allow an optimal utilization of its resources; it works with a 3.20 fish/m3 density. These indicators improve with a forced aeration system, where the density increased to 6.70 fish/m3. This proves that the forced aeration system helps improve the pools productivity; it saves time and optimizes the resources. In conclusion, the forced aeration is a low cost and high performance system for red tilapia farming, as it allows to increase the fish density per cubic meter, lower the production time and the amount of food used to reach the ideal red tilapia commercial size and weight.
