Estudio exploratorio – descriptivo del segmento Adulto Mayor – su oferta turística y diseño de estrategias de intervención en la ciudad de Quito

Abstract

Resumen .- Esta tesis de Maestría tiene como propósito caracterizar el perfil del Adulto Mayor de la Ciudad de Quito y su Oferta Turística a través de un estudio exploratorio de los principales lugares e instituciones relacionados con este segmento, complementado con un estudio descriptivo para lo cual se aplicó una encuesta a una muestra de la población de Jubilados del Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social que asisten a talleres ocupacionales en sus principales sedes ubicados al sur, centro y norte de la ciudad, con la intención de identificar sus gustos y preferencias para establecer estrategias de intervención en actividades de turismo dentro y fuera del Ecuador, ya que cuentan con tiempo libre y la necesidad de mantenerse activos y saludables. Se elaboraron cuatro capítulos, en el primer capítulo se desarrolló los antecedentes y justificación de la investigación, el planteamiento del problema, los objetivos, hipótesis y las principales definiciones del estudio exploratorio y descriptivo. El segundo capítulo contiene el marco teórico de los temas que se consideraron necesarios como referencia y en el tercer capítulo se presenta un resumen de las leyes vigentes del Ecuador con sus artículos relacionados, los resultados encontrados del estudio exploratorio y descriptivo, la caracterización del segmento adulto mayor, la oferta turística en la ciudad de quito y las estrategias de intervención que se plantearon. Finalmente en el cuarto capítulo se muestra las conclusiones y recomendaciones a las que se pudo llegar al finalizar este estudio. Abstract .- This Master Thesis has as purpose to characterize the Older Adult's profile of the City’s Quito and your Tourist Offer through an exploratory study of the main places and institutions related with this segment, supplemented with a descriptive study for that which a survey was applied to a sample of the population of Pensioners of the Ecuadorian Institute Safe Social that attend occupational shops in its main headquarters located to the south, center and north of the city, with the intention of identifying its likes and preferences to establish intervention strategies in activities of tourism inside of and outside of the Ecuador, since they count in advance free and the necessity to stay active and healthy. Four chapters were elaborated, in the first chapter it was developed the records and justification of the investigation, the position of the problem, the objectives, hypothesis and the main definitions of the exploratory and descriptive study. The second chapter contains the theoretical mark of the topics that were considered necessary as reference and in the third chapter a summary of the effective laws of the Ecuador is presented with its related articles, the results of the exploratory and descriptive study, the characterization of the biggest mature segment, the tourist offer in the city’s Quito and the intervention strategies that thought about. Finally in the quarter chapter include the summations and recommendations to those that you could end up when concluding this study.
