Proyecto elaborado a cargo de los ingenieros Erazo Diego y Ordoñez Leonardo, 2013 Abstract.- Because of its high strength, steel metal structures gives the possibility of achieving large-scale solutions as large spans, bear heavy loads and achieve various forms, among others. Currently, only Civil Engineers are those in charge of validating a prior design to the completion of a project. So, this project pretend to validate the signature of mechanical engineers making way for the wide range of industrial applications using metal structures. In Ecuador, the construction techniques for buildings have been based primarily on the use of concrete. Recent years the trend has been changing to the use of structural steel Due to its advantages in weight, cost and ease of assemble, the trends have being changing about the use of structural steel, especially, especially in complex architectural designs. Throughout their training, the Mechanical Engineer acquires knowledge and skill in the use and management of machinability and weldability of various structural elements and their respective application in the construction industry structures. For this reason, the Mechanical Engineer has the need to engage in this trend of structural design, contributing to the development of engineering in our country. This project describes the procedures for manufacture and assembly of steel constructions and considerations to be applied in any structural element as the structure detailing, the administrative and technical requirements, as well as the requirements and responsibilities of the workers who are immersed in the project with reference to the Thesis Steel Truss Design of the Support Structure of "Premium Diamond Corp." Project developed by the engineers Diego Erazo and Leonardo Ordoñez, 2013
