Abstract.- Petroamazonas, the national petroleum company, operates in the Libertador area. This study begins with a general description of the area, including its location, lithology, stratigraphy, the physical and chemical characteristics of the oil sands, the PVT properties of the fluids, and the current state of its wells. In the second chapter, I will discuss the mechanical pump, including its underground and surface equipment, with emphasis on the Rotaflex units which I recommend in this study. I will compare the Rotaflex pumps with those that use a rocker arm. I will explain what the figures that appear on the dynamic measuring charts of the underground pumps represents. I will select certain wells that conform to the conditions recommended for this project. Once the wells are selected, I will use the Petrobras method to calculate well behavior. Using SROD software v6.8.4, I will calculate the dimensions of the underground and surface equipment based on the characteristics of the select wells. Finally, I will present a financial analysis that verifies whether the implementation of this project is viable or not.
