Abstract: The growth of microcredit with the international rules on capital requirements, driving competition between microfinance institutions (MFIs) and banks for this line of business. The financial system has credit score models that analyze the risk of default; however, this is not so in MFIs because their databases have a high degree of both irrelevant and redundant information, causing serious problems for many mathematical algorithms in terms of scalability and performance. This paper aims to study and implement different mathematical methods to tackle the problem of classification of creditworthiness, minimizing error, for classifying prospects of poor is the key to scoring model building step. The support vector machines (SVMs) have gained popularity for their ability to generalization and construction of complex nonlinear functions for classification. Moreover the algorithms based on linear programming and multi multiple restriction to tackle the problem simultaneously pursue two goals, the first is to maximize the minimum distances between observations and critical hyperplane, and the second is to minimize the sum of the deviations.
