Abstract

The Hospital Básico de Machachi is a hospital of the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador, and provides health care to the population of Canton and the surrounding Mejia. In recent years the population increasing has brought about that the hospital has increased its services which has led to the need to redesign its data network. This has made the recollection of information to determine the current status of the voice and data network hospital and from there determine the minimum requirements necessaries to design the network so that it is possible to integrate IP telephony services and video conferencing, with this you can determine the minimum hardware features required to implement it, and so requesting a quote to different existing suppliers in the current Ecuadorian market, finally the conclusions and recommendations obtained from the analysis will be determined.
