Abstract: In order to maintain the production of Shushufindi-Aguarico field, which is a mature field, it has considered the development of this project in which will perform the shooting of new prospective zones, in wells of the field will take place. In the first chapter will describe the overview of the field as geographical location, a brief synopsis of its history, the characteristics of lithology, stratigraphy and formation fluids, the remaining reserves and the current situation of the field. In the second chapter will perform the selection of candidate wells that is based on a study of different petrophysical parameters, their production histories and the plotted of decline curves of the current state of the selected wells for analysis, which emphasizes why of the selection of the wells; also the geographical location of each is shown. In the third chapter, the electric logs of selected wells are interpreted in search of new prospective areas, besides is carried out the calculating of recoverable volume of oil and will proceed to the analysis of sceneries of artificial lift in the PIPESIM software to determine an optimum production rate for the new prospective areas chosen. The fourth chapter provides economic analysis for various sceneries where the price of a barrel of oil varies, whose purpose is to establish the project's profitability through the implementation of financial indicators such as net present value, internal rate of return and payback period of the investment. Finally, in the fifth chapter the conclusions and recommendations obtained from this project are drafted
