Abstract: This Project analyzes the load profile from the electric consumption in a set of households using data mining, which allows the correct interpretation of its behavior throughout the day at different seasons of the year. The data points that will serve in this project belong to measurements of electricity consumption every 30 minutes, performed by Smart Grid CER ISSDA Irish Social Science Data Archive completed in Ireland. A previous analysis of the data from CER ISSDA system will be performed in advance to determine: the quality of the data to study, the periods of time that register peaks of consumption, the statistical distribution of peak hours, the electricity consumption at each season of the year, and finally the nature and behavior of data to determine the most adequate fit for clustering methods of analysis. This project presents clustering data analysis that facilitates a process to cluster households in homogenous sets, defining the most relevant characteristics that establish criteria to develop a simulation model to stratify households base on daily consumption behavior. This model analyzes the representativeness for each stratum at peaks of consumption on a daily basis; in addition, it yields the change of consumption during different seasons of the year.
