Abstract: The current technical study contains the structural design and detail engineering of the towers and structural systems for the cableway of Quito Cables project. Therefore, some information was collected from the basic engineering of the project and the load analysis was developed. Then, each structural element was designed according to standards such as the AISC Steel Construction Manual, the Ecuadorian Construction Standard (NEC 2015) and the Structural Welding Code (AWS D1.1). Hence, the design is complemented with simulations of each element performed in software CAE. Finally, the detailed drawings of each structural element were carried out using software CAD, which include technical specifications for fabrication and assembly.
