The present work of titling aims at the analysis of the performance of the communications of a Vehicle Ad-hoc Network (VANET) in urban environments through the use of georeferenced maps of OpenStreetMap (OSM) with an optimal deployment of the infrastructure of the Road Unit (RSU), making use of proactive and reactive routing protocols. This analysis is carried out by simulations with software oriented to this type of mobile environments, as well as the one of the communications, previously in the part of the deployment of the infrastructure is realized the optimization by means of a mathematical model of whole linear programming, for which We proceed to take maps of several urban sectors of the city of Quito and execute them in SUMO with the respective road nomenclature in static form, then the simulation of mobility in SUMO, as well as the simulation in the communications for NS-2. In order to obtain final results, Visual Trace Analyzer software is used to load files obtained from the simulations and present their analysis using comparative graphs, which in this case verify the variations of the throughput.es_ES
