Today the Domain Name System (DNS) is based on a hierarchical structure that can be complex and offered in essential service on the Internet as their functions allow users to navigate the Internet using domain names instead of IP addresses. In addition of the DNS operation depend other services such as email. This dependence, the complexity of the DNS system, and the sensitivity of the information it carries are inherently vulnerable. This potential vulnerability of the DNS service could endanger other network services that depend on it. In this project analyzes vulnerabilities DNS system based in BIND, the application most commonly used DNS server on free software with the objective of providing technical information to help improve their secure implementation. In addition, several protective measures designed to protect these systems from the best known vulnerabilities are proposed by evaluating the DNS system implemented in prototypes that allow testing in a controlled environment. Finally, in this project the measures proposed are implemented in the prototype and evaluation of the effectiveness of them is performed.es_ES
