Prototipo de una SDN utilizando herramientas open-source

Abstract

The article begins by describing the most important concepts regarding SDNs, their operation and the advantages they have over traditional networks. In addition, the main technical features of the OpenFlow protocol, the Ryu driver, the Open vSwitch module and the Raspberry Pi reduced-board computer are described. Subsequently the design of the SDN to be implemented is presented, including all the necessary elements for the operation of the prototype. Verification of the exchange of OpenFlow messages between devices is presented using Wireshark software. The performance (throug|hput a jitter) is compared with the results obtained in the simulation, with the Mininet-WiFi package, and with the physical prototype. In addition, the operation of the firewall application implemented on the SDN is verified.
