Propuesta de políticas gubernamentales que fomenten la participación comunitaria en el Ecuador, a partir de un modelo econométrico que identifique sus determinantes

Abstract

The present research has as its objective to promote the Community Participation in Ecuador. To achieve this objective, in the first instance, we have identified technically the factors that allow the people´s participation; and, in the second instance, we have proposed government policies that promote the Community Participation in Ecuador. In the second instance, It had been proposed government policies that will support the Community Participation in Ecuador. The statistical techniques used were correspondence analysis and logistic regression; in addition, the information used was obtained from the survey “Encuesta de Condiciones de Vida 2013-2014 (ECV)”. With the results obtained from the survey, we established the profile of the person with the highest probability of participating in Ecuador. The "Community Participant Profile" obtained is: indigenous or Afro Ecuadorian man, with limited economic resources, inserted in the labor market, that lives in the rural area, interested in the environment and possessing large social capital.
