Abstract: The present research developed a solution to maximize oil production and improve the achievement of the currently installed productive capacity with 30 ESP booted wells in the Aguarico field operated by Consorcio Shushufindi SA. At the same time, this work and its methodology provide a detailed analysis to the area of production systems. On the other hand, it is a challenging task the management and optimization of oil production in large fields with well arrangements in distribution, production and injection networks; particularly in this case with complex multiphase systems and surface pipelines connected, being this reason why it is necessary to apply computational technological tools. Therefore, a methodology was developed based on the construction of well and network modeling systems by combining two programs (DESIGNPRO and PIPESIM) in order to recreate performance curves for each electric submersible pump (ESP) and simulate the production behavior from the reservoir to the surface taking into consideration the size of facilities background (lifting system) and surface (pipes and fittings) with their respective energy consumption. This study found an optimal combination of operating frequencies for all electric submersible pumps that flow through the same production system respecting their flow interdependence, local constraints per wells and global field constraints.
