Abstract: The project shows the design of the structured cabling system, shows a contingency plan for the Child and Adolescent Building of the Public Defender of Ecuador. It details the ANSI / EIA / TIA 568C, ANSI / EIA / TIA 569 standards used in the design of a structured cabling network, shows concepts and definitions, clearly establishing the guidelines for designing the structured cabling system. An analysis of building requirements is performed for both the data network and the building infrastructure. It shows the contingency plan considering the current reality of the building, identifying the risks to which both the data network and the physical structure of the building are exposed, shows the times and procedures to follow in case of any adverse events that may compromise network and building security.
