This work develops the theoretical study of the resistant capacity of the mezzanine system of the "TORINO" building under fire conditions, considering the design according to the Ecuadorian Construction Standard [NEC-SE-AC] and verifying it under the provisions of three foreign regulations: EUROCODE, BRAZILIAN CODE and AISC. The objective of this study is to verify if the design obtained with the Ecuadorian Construction Standard [NEC-SE-AC] is able to withstand the minimum required time of exposure to fire, when evaluated in accordance with the approaches of the three foreign standards. On the one hand, it compares the resistant capacity under fire conditions that each foreign regulation calculates for the original sections, and subsequently alternative sections that meet the required fire resistance time are considered, so that the comparative analysis is not only carried out from the technical point of view but also economic. These results allow to know the fire resistance time of the structural elements when considering only the design according to the Ecuadorian Construction Standard [NEC-SE-AC] and alternatives can be proposed that improve their behavior under fire conditions.es_ES
