Zusammenfassung: In this project, the petrophysical interpretation of the main reservoirs of Lago Agrio Field was performed from its well logs in order to calculate and update its reserves. In addition, the petrophysical parameters obtained were used in the generation of isopropy maps using the OFM software. This maps allow a general visualization of a reservoir and thus identify areas with the best petrophysical characteristics. In the Lago Agrio Field, 62 wells have been drilled since 1967, producing only 20 wells until July 2017. With the help of the isopropy maps generated and the production history of the wells, it was determined that the Southwest area of the field presents better conditions of effective porosity with a range of values between 13 and 15%. However, it is not the area where the largest number of wells are concentrated. The Northeast zone of the field registers less presence of water with a range of values between 20 and 30%. The identified zones with better characteristics and the petrophysical interpretation made of all the wells served to suggest changes of the producer reservoir in 6 wells that present problems and in this way optimize the production of the field.
