Estudio económico y ambiental para la gestión alternativa del tratamiento de tres desechos peligrosos generados en el Bloque 16 – Parque Nacional Yasuní y Unidad N° 10.

Abstract

In the present study the process of integral management of hazardous wastes was economically and environmentally analyzed, emphasizing: contaminated soils with hydrocarbons, sludge from the wastewater treatment system and plastic contaminated with hazardous material, generated from 2013 to 2016. A descriptive and explanatory research was carried out, detailing the waste management in the study area and the possible causes and effects of environmental impacts in the management of hazardous waste. The design of the project corresponds to a documentary design focused on: collecting, organizing, an economic evaluation and a historic evaluation of the information of the hazardous waste management process, from generation to its final disposal, based on AM 061, INEN 2266 Technical Standard: 2013 and RAOHE DE 1215. An evaluation of the integral management system and each of the selected wastes was carried out, in compliance with the Ministerial Agreement 061. The specific management costs for each waste were estimated and the data of future generation (year 2022). After this, alternatives were proposed for the management of these three wastes for treatment and disposal, depending on the type of pollutant, nature of the waste and budget available for management, maximum permissible limits for unloading. Finally, an economic, legal, environmental and technical analysis was accomplished.
