Políticas públicas en el campo científico-tecnológico 2007-2017 y la inserción de las mujeres ecuatorianas

Abstract

The different investigations about the inclusion of women in the field of science and technology in Latin America and in Ecuador have taken a greater force in the last decade. There is a growing interest to encourage discussion about the different factors of discrimination in this field and in this way to be able to stimulate and strengthen actions that are able to diminish and not to say eradicate the agents of discrimination and inequity. This work goes through the historical path of the path traveled not only by researchers but also the role of academic discussion agendas and in the enunciation of public policies that seek to orchestrate gender equity with scientific-technological development. It is based on the collection of information on studies, projects and on the planning, evaluation and implementation of public policies on science and technology that stand out in the incorporation of the principle of gender equity, based on which the impact perceived by the community of women scientists in Ecuador. Finally, it is important to point out that for our study the contribution of women who actively participate in the scientific-technological environment was fundamental and they have been the protagonists of a reality that affects all those who are part of this environment called society.
