Abstract: In this work, we show a study of the KT phase transition at the diluted XY model due to a Monte Carlo Metropoli simulation. We determine properties of the system like energy, heat capacity, the magnetization, the magnetic susceptibility and the correlation between spins according to temperature and dilution. To determine the transition temperature we use two methods. As a first method, the dependence on the network size of the critical temperature is used, which is determined by the maximum of the heat capacity at a given temperature. Making corrections for finite size effects we determine that critical temperature in this method is T_kt=0.87 .To determine the transition temperature we use two methods. As a first method, the dependence on the network size of the critical temperature is used, which is the temperature at which the rotation stiffness intersects the straight line that originates from the origin with slope π. Making corrections for finite size effects we determine that critical temperature in this method is T_kt=0.87 that means, a percentile difference of 2.77 %
