Rediseño de la red de comunicaciones del ISP Paradyne S.A. dentro del distrito metropolitano de Quito y el Valle de los Chillos

Abstract

Resumen .- En el presente proyecto de titulación se realiza un estudio de la situación actual del ISP Paradyne S.A. Donde se hace visible la falta de administración y seguridad en su red. Se presenta las alternativas técnicas viables para mejorar los aspectos de seguridad tomando en cuenta las recomendaciones del estándar ISO/IEC 27002. Además se muestra la estructura de un ISP así como los servicios que presta, se plantea el rediseño de la red, potencializando la red de acceso actual que utiliza la tecnología WIMAX haciendo uso de la infraestructura que ofrece Navini Networks. Se presenta un plan de migración hacia la nueva red y se realiza un análisis de costos para hacer posible la migración. Se finaliza con un estudio del servicio de Telefonía IP y de la telefonía dentro del país, mostrando las estadísticas y operadoras del sector. Abstract .- This project study focus in the current situation of the ISP Paradyne S.A, where it is visible the lack of administration and security in the network. Feasible technical alternatives were presented to improve the security issues taking into account the recommendations of the ISO / IEC 27002. Additionally, it shows the structure of an ISP and their services, the redesign of the network arises, empowering the current WIMAX access network using the infrastructure of Navini Networks. It´s presented a migration plan to the new network and a cost analysis. Finally, it´s included a study of the IP Telephony and the state of the art of the public telephony system within the country, showing the statistics and the main players.
