Abstract: This research will serve to analyze the capacity of the existing superstructure in telecommunications towers of square section. In order to do that, it was necessary to make a lifting of telecommunications accessories and structural members to determine the design forces that affect the capacity of its elements. Since in Ecuador there is no standard to determine the forces of wind that affect the structure, it was necessary the use of foreign standards. After recording the necessary information of the tower, a structural analysis is performed that allows to determine the actual and future state of the tower with the new accessories. This research allows to take reinforcement measures on time, and in this way, preventing a partial or total collapse of the superstructure, that can cause disconnection of the telecommunications, property damage or human loses, depending on the site location. Finally, it is concluded that the structure analyzed does not have the enough resistance to support the design loads, the accessories that exist and also the accessories that would be necessary if the tower required to be reinforced.
