Diseño e implementación de una aplicación DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine) cliente / servidor para el transporte de imágenes radiológicas digitales en un ambiente hospitalario

Abstract

The objective of this project was to provide physicians a tool of access to digital images obtained from different acquisition devices radiation from a website, enabling efficient management and prompt handling of medical records. To this end server named SERVER image processing DICOM along with a MySQL database and a Web server whose code includes PHP and JAVA SCRIPT was implemented. All this was integrated to enable a web application to access and manage server resources as well as making the rise of the files generated by the acquisition devices is DICOM format. The results of the tests are such that the tool developed facilitates the handling of digital images obtained from computed radiography, CT scans, MRIs and archives studies that meet the standard DICOM communication. This work was tested during a day at the Alfredo Noboa Hospital in the city of Guaranda with the results indicated.
