Abstract: In this project shows an application of computer vision to recognize faces and send alerts in a Raspberry Pi B plus. The face recognition is based on the OPENCV library and the algorithm LBP (Local Binary Pattern), native cameras of Raspberry RasPiCam (day camera) and PiNoir (infrared camera) are used to obtain images, Alerts are sent by Telegram an application of messaging and Mutt an application of email, alerts sent contain the location of the vehicle which is obtained by a GPS receiver. An USB 3G modem is used to established an Internet connection. Alerts are sent when the registered user's face is not recognized, when a face is not detected in the video caught by camera, when the camera has been disconnected or when it has been pressed an auxiliary button. The alerts contain the image captured by the camera, alert type, and location of the system obtained by the GPS. To configure and interact with the system has been used text messages sent by Telegram from any mobile device toward the account number set into Raspberry.
