Abstract: In this project the removal of pollutant loads of wastewater from a chips factory using a bio tower impregnated with a biofilm of bacteria aerobic effluent own static bed of PET was raised. It was determined that the effluent BOD (1165.33*mg / L), COD (1319.87 mg / L), SST (2592 mg / L) and oils and fats (79 mg / L), do not meet the maximum permissible limits of the technical standards. TSS removal was performed through a horizontal flow sand trap for a flow 12*L / min, a clearance up 71.11 mg / L in 90 seconds of treatment was obtained. Conditions prior to the impregnation of bacterial bio film effluent were: pH 7.93 and 0.880 coefficient of biodegradability. two 3 L bioreactors where the impregnation is carried out by a study of COD was built every 15 days, hard process 120 days and the pollutant load was decreased by 93.10*%. Once impregnated film bacterial bio a count of the microorganisms present in the water was carried 5,6818x106 cfu / m2 was obtained mezófilas aerobic, 1,0511x105 upm / m2 of fungi and 1,4205x105 upl / m2 yeast. operating the bio tower with the bed of PET impregnated with a bio bacterial film to a rate of 3 L / day in three replications where after 24 hours of treatment efficiency was obtained in the removal of BOD5 was evaluated: 95, 90%; 94.48% 94.64% and COD and: 93.27%, 92.61% and 92.39%, so it was concluded that the bio tower static bed of PET impregnated with a bacterial biofilm effluent own fail and accelerates the ability of self-purification of wáter is a efficient method for the remotion of bio charges.
