Abstract: This paper seeks to evaluate the use of surfactant agent, in a water-based fluid, that allow the increase of the percentage of diesel and, consequently, its benefits for reducing the risk of differential sticking in depleted sandstones of the Oriente Basin. For this purpose, this work initially presents a general description of the Tiputini Field and well TPTC-016. Subsequently, preliminary studies describing the phenomenon of differential sticking, the use of as surfactant agent emulsifiers and their influence on the properties of the drilling fluid. The next part is the execution and results of laboratory tests, with which the surfactant agent is determined along with its ideal concentration; and density, lubricity, rheology, loss of API and PPT filtrate in direct emulsion fluids are also evaluated with diesel increments of 0%, 3%, 12% and 24%. A technical - economic analysis is then carried out to compare and determine the feasibility of using the fluids tested in the laboratory. Finally the conclusions and recommendations are presented.
