Abstract: This project focuses on the selection and design of a route of links microwave proposed as a viable solution to a real problematic of communication presented by the ¨ Empresa Pública de Hidrocarburos del Ecuador ¨ that requires an uninterrupted connection of high availability with the terminal of Clean products Barbasquillo for its correct operation. The project has three methodological phases, the first consisting of a theoretical writing product of a bibliographical consultation and acquisition of practical knowledge in the company. The second phase consists of the design of the microwave links following the theoretical framework, where is: the information collected sponsored by the company, the topographic profile and selection of the best route for the links, the description of the equipment, the calculations and its validation through software, the recommended processes to mitigate the difficulties of links with trajectories over the sea and the referential budget of the project. The last phase presents an engineering study of the links where all the results obtained in the design process are summarized and briefly discussed. Finally, the conclusions and the annexes.
