Abstract: Simulations are currently of great importance to be able to carry out new investigations and create new concepts; testing in real environments, besides being expensive, is almost impossible; because it would mean mobilizing a large number of measurement instruments, causing very high costs. A simulation is successful when the parameters considered in the input are all or most of those involved in reality, with this one could expect the results to be highly reliable. The models of mobility, concepts and environments should be the ones that are currently handled (science is always in constant development and improvement), and in this case SUMO, and the Institute of Transportation Systems is always improving and launching new concepts that They must be used. That is why this thesis optimized the C4R software made in 2011 that still uses obsolete software versions for the present and adapted the updated versions of SUMO, NetConvert and PolyConvert. With this, the operation was tested, simulating real maps downloaded through the Open Street Maps server and the JMapViewer application. To end with the found conclusions and recommendations for future works and projects.
