Estudio de la situación ocupacional de los graduados del programa de Maestría en Gerencia Empresarial de la Escuela Politécnica Nacional en el período 2010 al 2015

Abstract

The main aim of this research is to study the work situation of graduates of the Master's Program in Business Management of the National Polytechnic School, based on the objectives and profile of this career. The results of this study shed the current working condition of the graduates and allows one to determine the university-work relationship. In this context, a framework of reference is established to compare the performance of the graduates in the work environment with the objectives of this program. The survey was designed as an instrument for data collection. It is comprised of four multiple-choice questions and one open question, which, through a quantitative and qualitative analysis, show the descriptions of the different work scenarios posed by the population studied. These results provide valuable information which in turn generates other lines of research. At the same time, it helps to understand the position and importance of the EPN, specifically in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, in front of the labor market which leads to an opportunity for improvement in their training processes. Finally, there are a number of recommendations issued by graduates who point to the improvement in training methodology, best practices for learning, adaptation to new trends, modern study tools, and suggestions that may be considered in a prospective analysis with the current situation.
