This degree project was aimed at evaluating the rate of oxygen transfer with algae from the Yambo lagoon, selected by its state of eutrophication. The evaluation of the transfer rate was carried out in an aerobic reactor in the presence of the environmental conditions of Quito city, and the water inoculated with algae were obtained from the center and shore of the Yambo lagoon. The parameters of dissolved oxygen, saturation oxygen percentage, temperature and PH were evaluated during March, April and May 2018. Also, a nutritive solution was injected to the inoculum to maintain optimum nutrient levels for the growth of algae, trying to look like wastewater based on the concentration of nutrients. The transfer rate obtained from the first stage corresponding to the inoculum of origin of the center of the lagoon resulted in 79,93 and from the second stage corresponding to the inoculum of the shore of the lagoon was of 135,54 , the second experimental stage was more efficient than the first stage because of its greater presence of phytoplankton, it is also concluded that the algae are excellent for the production of oxygen.es_ES
