Evaluación de la calidad de agua suministrada del barrio Urauco de la Parroquia Lloa

Abstract

This project intends to evaluate the quality of water supplied from the Urauco neighborhood of the Lloa parish. Since the limited number of people in the sector does not have public sewage systems that guarantee sanitation. It is important that the inhabitants can have the confidence and the guarantee that the water resource is apt for its consumption. Additionality, the resource has to be safe for the health of each inhabitant due to the right to access to basic potable water. On this matter, the processes that are carried out allow the fulfillment of the maximum permissible limits according to the established in the norm of potable water for its use and human consumption (INEN 1108). We visited and conducted water quality studies in the parish to ensure that the water resource of this neighborhood is suitable for consumption. A walking tour was made to observe the possible faults, leaks or any rupture of the pipes, valves or accessories that supply the water resource to the residents and that are causes of any possible infection that the population may have. To complete this task some samples, were collected before and after the disinfection process (if any), before the meter and in the homes to guarantee that the water has a good quality so it is possible to ensure that the service is optimal and reliable for its usage in productive activities and human consumption.
