Abstract: The objective of this work is to design and simulate a decentralized regulatory control on a reactor-separator-recycler (RSR) system and the development of concentration estimators using a state observer and another based on neural networks to estimate the concentration at the output of the CSTR (continuous stirred tank reactor) reactor in the RSR system. For the design of regulatory control, we first obtained approximate models of first order with delay and first order empirically using the process of identification by reaction curve in order to design the controllers in each of the equipment that make up the RSR system to maintain the system at the points of operation. The estimation of the concentration of propylene glycol at the output of the CSTR reactor was developed by one observer of full state observer and another by a neural network. Finally, the estimated variable is used in the designed control loops and is subjected to temperature perturbation tests and initial concentration at the mixing point to compare the settling time and the ISE performance index of the controllers which will be shown in a graphical interface developed in MATLAB.
