Resumen: With the use of ICT in education, many institutions have developed an interest in using the Internet for improving their services. However, most of the services come as applications which most of the time are difficult to find and get, are not well indexed and categorized. The objective of this project is to develop a digital catalog of software for people with hearing impairment that is accessible, user-friendly, and allows all these applications to be brought closer to users. A preliminary investigation was carried out to identify both web and mobile applications, as well as catalogs that are related to hearing impairment, using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes) guidelines. Both web and mobile catalogs were analyzed to determine the characteristics and needs with which the digital software catalog should comply. Subsequently, web and mobile applications were evaluated using the MARS (Mobile Application Rating Scale) methodology. During the development of each prototype the five planes of UX (User Experience) were used, according to their level of fidelity (low, medium and high-fidelity). To achieve a fully functional application, the “Mariana de Jesus Institute” and the “National Federation of Deaf People of Ecuador” collaborated during the development of the application by providing extremely important comments and feedback, as well as helping to evaluate each of the prototypes. In conclusion, even though we live in a constantly changing world with new technologies emerging every day, these technologies are not always accessible to the impaired, that is why it is important to bring these technologies closer to the impaired, making the digital breach narrow.
