Estudio sobre los estilos de aprendizaje y co-creación en los estudiantes de pre-grado de la Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas de la Escuela Politécnica Nacional

Abstract

This degree work aims to study the relationships between learning styles, the predisposition to co-create and co-creator environments in students of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at the undergraduate level. The co-creator environment is defined as the learning space in which the predisposition to co-create develops. The Kolb Questionnaire, Learning Style Inventory, LSI was used to measure learning styles. Van Spaendonk's questionnaire (2016) was used to determine the preferred co-creator environment and the Nastari and Pisetta questionnaire (2014) was used to measure the willingness to co-create. The questionnaire was applied to 186 students. The results showed that the predominant learning style is the convergent style. Thus, it was also determined that the aspect that motivates students most to co-create is the hedonic integration in which students seek fun, entertainment, stimulate the mind and generate ideas. Finally, the study also showed that the learning environment that students enjoy the most is class discussions and the one that they enjoy the least are the classroom exposures. The results were analyzed through ANOVA tests and correlations. These results showed that the hypothesis could not be accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between learning styles, willingness to co-create and co-creator environments. However, this study can be a basis for applying concept and methodology in other research, as well as a source of information for both teachers and students to generate strategies that improve the teaching-learning process.
