Abstract

The objective of the study is to analyze the recovery of extra-heavy crude oil by increasing the temperature inside the well. This increase in temperature will be caused by the implementation of a heating cable inside the well. The increase in temperature is intended to reduce the viscosity values of the extra-heavy crude and thus facilitate the mobility of the crude through the well. One of the most relevant factors for the success of the project is to be very clear about the capacity or potential of the reservoir to supply fluid to the well, taking into account this factor several production scenarios were carried out in which different resulting values were obtained. well productivity index, through which it will be easier to have a clear idea of how the increase in temperature will influence crude oil production. This temperature increase was simulated in the Wellflo software for the different cases that were obtained in the production scenarios and in this way to be able to make a comparison of the results, with which the impact of the implementation of the heating cable could be analyzed. and in turn the feasibility of the project.
