Desarrollo de una plataforma tipo UBER orientado a servicios domésticos en ECUADOR

Abstract

In Ecuador, the informal workers sector is raising every year. Inside this sector, there is a big percentage of people who offer domestic services as their principal or only source of income. Despite that the Ecuadorian government has approved laws to protect the domestic worker and offer him/her a fair payment for his/her job, there are still a lot of people that gain very little in comparison with the hours they have worked. Moreover, this people can’t find places where they can offer their services. On the other hand, people who require to hire domestic services, have difficulties to find people whom they can trust and adjust to their needs, which in the end makes them to stop looking.

As a solution to this problem, this project proposes the development of a digital platform where domestic workers can offer their services, work in places near their home and let them be able to keep track of the hours they have worked and how much they have gain. In the same way, this platform will allow the users that require these services to search for domestic workers according to their needs and the place where they need the service, in a secure and quick way.

Thanks to this platform that serves as a link between requesters and bidders, the hiring process will be easier and fast, and there will be more job offers for domestic workers around the country, assuring a fair payment for the hours they have worked.
