Análisis de diversidad en recepción empleando el modelo de canal de Nakagami-m sobre redes MANET usando el simulador NS-3

Abstract

Networks consisting of nodes that communicate via wireless connections and do not require any existing infrastructure are called MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Networks). One of the problems that arise with this type of network is the scope of its communication, this thesis presents the diversity of reception as a solution.

This project offers an analysis of the parameters used by the network in NS-3 to achieve diversity in reception, taking into account that to approximate the system to this technique the Nakagami-m channel model has been used and that due to its complexity it does not it has been implemented in network simulators.

In order to simulate the network will be evaluated in two scenarios. First, there will be a chain of 10 nodes in which the transmission rate will be kept constant and packets will be sent from the head to the tail of the chain of nodes. In a second scenario, you will analyze different numbers of nodes moving in random directions, where each node will send information to an access point at a constant rate.

The results of the set of simulations carried out are evaluated using metrics, such as throughput, packet delivery rate, average delay and diversity order.
