Zusammenfassung: In this study, mortar cubes with 50 mm edges and reinforced concrete beams with different coverings were elaborated and exposed to high temperatures (100°C, 200°C, 300°C, 400°C, 500°C, and 600°C) the mortar cubes and (300°C, 600°C, and 900°C) the beams during one, two and three hours in a programmable oven. A photographic register of the surfaces of the cubes was made to determine a possible increase of the cracking area. After that, the test pieces were trialed to compression to know about the affectation to their resistance due to high temperatures. On the other hand, the corrugated steel bars embedded in concrete beams were trialed on traction in order to evidence the variation of the mechanical properties of steel: resistance, ductility, elasticity, resilience and tenacity after their thermic affectation. Finally, graphs were made that compare and visualize the affectation suffered in each of the analyzed properties of each material relative to the results of the comparison test piece. Additionally, a mathematical relationship is proposed between the percentage of the cracking area and the resistance to compression of mortar and the relationship between the covering and the mechanical properties of corrugated steel.
