Abstract: The main objective of this final career project is the development of laboratory practices for the subject of Digital Communication. To do this, some tools that are available to students and teachers will be used, such as GNU Radio and the USRP (Universal Software Radio Peripherical) NI 2920 equipment, available at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the Escuela Politécnica Nacional. This Technical Project consists of 4 chapters in which the way of use of both the software and the hardware used in the development of the practices is detailed, as well as the design of these, which will have their own manual that will be made available to the lab instructor. In the first chapter, the most relevant characteristics of SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology are described, as well as the different devices that operate under this technology. In addition, there is a summary of how to use and configure the GNU Radio software. The second chapter presents the guide sheets for students for the Digital Communication laboratory, that means, the necessary requirements for each practice and the steps to follow for its development. The third chapter presents the results obtained from each practice, by varying different parameters of the flowcharts. The fourth chapter presents the conclusions reached after the development of this degree work. In addition, a series of recommendations are mentioned that will be useful for future degree work.
