Abstract: To analyze the performance of Li-Fi (Light-Fidelity) technology based on the ACO-OFDM (Asimmetricaly Clipped Optical - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) modulation and MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) system in an indoor environment starts with a theoretical review of the main characteristics of Li-Fi, ACO-OFDM modulation, an optical channel for indoor environments, the RC (Repetition Coding) algorithm and its diversity combination methods MRC (Maximum Ratio Combining) and SC ( Selection Combining). The methodology indicates the implementation in Matlab of a system with ACO-OFDM modulation for MIMO using RC and the adaptation in the receiver of the diversity combination methods, MRC and SC. For comparative purposes, the implementation of systems MISO (Multiple Input Single Output) and SIMO (Single Input Multiple Output) is also performed; they are basic for the realization of the MIMO system. The results of the simulations are obtained through the curves of the BER (Bit Error Rate) and the capacity, both as a function of the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio). In the end it is shown that a system MIMO has better performance than SIMO and MISO, and that a MIMO system with MRC offers higher capacity and BER than a MIMO system with SC.
