Telework is a modality of work that emerged with the aim of providing advantages for both workers and employers, however, the sudden outbreak of a new variant of the SARS CoV-2 virus caused that most of the jobs had to adopt this modality without being prepared since this virus emerged suddenly and as a consequence the necessary conditions could not be guaranteed, generating complications in teleworking. Moreover, the pandemic forced the world population not to leave their homes so that domestic activities increased due to the quarantine, making it more complicated to combine telework activities with family care activities where women have a greater range of action compared to men. The present study aims to identify gender differences considering the telework conditions due to Covid-19 in the city of Quito 2020. The study of gender differences will be based on three essential components i) teleworker resources ii) social impact on teleworker relationships iii) mental health of the teleworker. This research work can serve as a tool for organizations and for the Ecuadorian government or other countries to understand the gender differences and thus formulate rules to ensure not only equality, but also promote the rights of teleworkers.es_ES
