Abstract: The objective of this study was to make a comparison between three types of biodigesters, tubular type, floating hood and fixed dome, for a house in the San Isidro neighborhood, where many homes have cows or pigs, due to which large amounts of excreta are produced and misused, generating environmental and health problems. The biodigester allows us to correctly handle animal manure, where a group of microorganisms present in the organic matter generate anaerobic fermentation, from which biogas and natural biol can be acquired as a final product. The research began with a visit to the area to obtain important data for the project, such as the total number of cows and pigs. Also, a weighing of the manure was carried out for five consecutive days, where 249.76 kg were obtained from the 7 cows and 4.8 kg from 4 pigs that are registered in the household. For the selection of the system a comparison of the 3 types of biodigesters was made, in which the following criteria were determined: useful life of the system, operation and maintenance, type of material and costs, from this it is established that for this house the appropriate biodigester is the tubular one. Once the appropriate biodigester for the house was studied, the dimensions of the system were obtained: length 12.4 m, width 1.2 m, depth 1.3 m, area 1.2 m, radius 0.80 m and liquid volume 18.60 m3. Finally, a prototype of the system was designed using the AutoCAD app and a practical guide for the installation, use and maintenance of the tubular biodigester for the rural sector, Guamaní parish.
