Abstract

In the first section of this document, which is the result of a practical work in the field of computer networks, a brief introduction of the project is exposed, this will serve as a foundation to address the objectives and the description of the proposed scope, also explains important concepts such as the application of the SNMP protocol, in the context of the project with the use of virtual machines in order to facilitate the understanding of the project. The second section specifies the methodology executed to meet the objectives, detailing the processes carried out in each step from the sketch, virtualization of equipment through the use of the VirtualBox hypervisor to the implementation of the prototype with each of its actors: the server and equipment that make up the network. The third part explains the development of the stated objectives that, based on the scope, the selection of the monitoring software requirements in each aspect of the design and implementation of the prototype was performed. In addition, this chapter demonstrates the functionality of the prototype by performing tests and evidencing the results. The fourth section specifies the conclusions obtained from the implementation of this work and recommendations in order to mitigate and/or correct errors, so that the prototype is efficient and errors are corrected. The last section lists the bibliographical references that helped in the development of this project, in addition to the annexes, among which is the certificate of originality, QR code access to the video evidence of the correct operation of the prototype, detailing the steps and results obtained.
