Resumen: This Project presents the developing of a low-cost switch for Software Defined Networks (SDN) that supports OpenFlow. The switch was implemented in a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B using an USB hub and USB to Ethernet adapters. The LINC-Switch software were used to implement the switch. Two applications were developed using the Ryu controller, the first application allows the basic functionality of a switch. The second application allows to obtain the packet switching statistics that are performed by the switch, the statistics presented on the screen by the application are port statistics and flow statistics. A few connectivity tests are performed and some tests to determine the maximum transmission rate achieved by the switch. Finally, the results of the several tests and the conclusions and recommendations obtained in this project are presented.
