Efectos de la aplicación del plan de mejora competitiva año 2017 ejecutado por el Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería en el área de maíz duro en la Provincia de los Ríos

Abstract

This research project has been developed with the purpose of diagnosing which were the effects of application of the Competitive Improvement Plan (PMC) executed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) in the Province of "Los Ríos" on corn hard contributing with an analysis on each of its components. The approach carried out in this project has a mixed approach, of a descriptive nature, where surveys and interviews were used with several producers and leaders of the Corn trade union, to learn about the reality of the sector. Finally, descriptive statistics and discourse analysis were used. with Microsoft Excel 2016 and NVIVO 12 software tools. As results it is identified that farmers "Los Rios" has received support from PMC 2017, in the different axes Infrastructure, Credits, Training, Trade Union Strengthening, this analysis will allow to take correct actions towards the Central Government, Industry and support entities, leading later to increase the yield of corn, resulting in increased productivity and raising some criteria for improvement to achieve self-sustainability.
