Abstract: | Abstract: In the last decades, the use of technology in medicine has been massive. One of the areas in which it has been a huge development is in the surgical interventions. A lot of robotic platforms have been developed and used in order to enhance surgeon skills and make easier, quicker and more effective procedures. This paper presents a review of the state of the art of robotic surgery, the gold standard equipment, the features of their implementation and the challenges for the future in the area. |
