| Beschreibung: | The main objective of this master's thesis is to conduct a study on the implementation of ISO 9001:2015-based quality management systems in public institutions in Ecuador over the past four years. To achieve this, a detailed analysis of two selected public institutions based on representativeness criteria is carried out. This analysis allows for an examination of the current status of Quality Management System (QMS) implementation in both selected entities, with the purpose of identifying findings that can contribute to improving the implemented system. Currently, public sector organizations have organizational management statutes based on processes. In order to enhance the effectiveness of these processes, several institutions have implemented a quality management system based on ISO 9001. This study aims to evaluate such implementation using a mixed-method approach that analyzes both the technical specifications of the quality management system in both institutions through documentation review and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements, as well as its practical application in the daily management of processes and services provided. To achieve this, instruments specifically designed based on the clauses of the standard have been utilized. As a result, the existing differences between the evaluated institutions are presented with the purpose of contributing to the continuous improvement of processes within each institution and meeting the needs of the involved stakeholders. |
