| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | This project is carried out due to the need to obtain greater efficiency in the dissipation of hydraulic energy, given by the natural aeration of flows. Experimental tests are carried out, and later the results obtained are analyzed by means of video recording devices and computational tools. The experimental work consists of determining the percentage of air concentration in the two-phase flow of five hydraulic projections with different Froude numbers. For this purpose, a rectangular, free-surface channel with minimum slope and a vertical flat gate were used. In all tests performed, the flow rate was constant, while the bottom opening of the gate varied to produce different scenarios. A high-speed camera is used to capture video of each test, and the images are processed using Photron Fastcam Viewer software. Subsequently, a programming code made in Python, with artificial vision tools, capable of obtaining results in the form of graphs that indicate the percentage of air in the flow. | es_ES |
