Influencia de Lean Manufacturing en la implementación de tecnologías de la industria 4.0 en un estudio de caso múltiple en empresas manufactureras de la provincia de pichincha.

Abstract

The adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies promises to be a very useful tool to optimize processes. It is made up of 9 cybersecurity technologies, Internet of Things, industrial cloud, additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, big data, robotics; On the other hand, there is another tool called Lean Manufacturing (LM), made up of various Kanban, just in time, 5s, TPM and SMED techniques that are also used to improve process productivity. This research aims to determine the classification and influence of the implementation of LM techniques in the adoption of 4.0 technologies in a multiple case study of 8 manufacturing organizations located in the province of Pichincha. For this purpose, an exploratory transectional non-experimental design with a mixed approach was used. The research tool was a closed survey made up of 3 sections, the data analysis was carried out in the SPSS software where the classification was analyzed with the PEARSON coefficient and ANOVA. It was found that of the 8 companies surveyed, only 25% of them have a medium-high level of implementation of Lean Manufacturing; Likewise, 100% of these present a low level of implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies, the ANOVA analysis 0.01 < 0.05 with 95% confidence demonstrates that there is an influence of the level of implementation of Lean Manufacturing on the adoption of industry 4.0 technologies and the PEARSON coefficient indicates whether there is a significant evaluation between variables.
