Estudio comparativo del modelo de gestión de outsourcing a insourcing en el área de tecnologías de la información. Caso General Motors Ecuador

Abstract

This Master´s Thesis describes and compares the Outsourcing Management Model that was used in the IT area of GM OBB del Ecuador, versus the Insourcing Management Model that is currently in place. Through this study, it is determined whether or not the change has given positives results in the area and consequently for the company. The research conducted is qualitative. To develop the research the case study method was used, since the research is about a singular issue, which is a benchmark for other companies, and based on a real context. The interview was the tool used for data collection. Through the Tapio Reponen Conceptual Model the description of the models mentioned above were structured, using three perspectives: Human Resource, Financial and Strategic. Subsequently, a comparison of the management models used in the IT area of GM OBB of Ecuador was made, looking for similarities and differences between them, following the scheme proposed by Hernandez Sampieri regarding the case study method.
